The unit controls other associated Z-Wave devices, however a remote control or any other kind of Z-Wave portable or static controller is needed to include the unit into a Z-Wave network and to realise the association. The unit is battery powered and can therefore be used without the cradle. The cradle can be mounted on every plain and clean place.
