Breathe Easy with SIEGENIA-AUBI and Z-Wave

(May 20, 2010)

Depending on the weather conditions or pollution levels, windows in flats often remain closed. As a result, residents end up breathing stale or used air. With its new automated “AEROPAC wave” central ventilation system, SIEGENIA-AUBI now provides an intelligent solution to this problem. Thanks to the Z-Wave wireless standard, this sound-insulating ventilator can also be easily integrated into a home control network. The ventilator can be combined with the SENSOAIR wave air quality sensor. Residents can enjoy better air quality in their homes and can control the supply of fresh air in accordance with requirements.

The combination of AEROPAC wave, SENSOAIR wave and the new “wave“ wireless push button (allowing remote control) provides a complete solution for efficient building ventilation and unites the required components in a demand-driven, modern home ventilation system. For example, the system automatically regulates the fan settings depending on CO2 concentration. The sound-insulating ventilator impresses with its high performance and optimised operator controls, as well as its modern appearance. The multi-functional display is intuitive to use.

In order to allow integration into automated ventilation systems, the AEROPAC wave is also equipped with a seven-speed fan and a Z-Wave controlled timer function. The operating hours can also be read using the integrated Z-Wave chip. The bi-directional wireless system enables reliable data exchange between the connected devices even over long distances.

Silent, filtered, “green”
The AEROPAC wave works as a fresh air generator which absorbs outside noise and also works very quietly. This means it can also operate during the night without disturbing occupants as they sleep. The device filters the incoming air in order to provide protection from negative environmental factors. If the load is too great, SENSOAIR wave automatically issues a signal to AEROPAC wave to activate the ventilation system. The quality of the air in the building thereby automatically remains high. And for all this, the entire system requires only minimal energy.

Z-Wave technology allows the ventilator to communicate with solutions and devices produced by other manufacturers and thus becoming an integral part of a robust home control ecosystem. This wireless standard enables the central and interoperable management of lighting, heating, smart metering, entertainment and security systems. SIEGENIA-AUBI is a member of the Z-Wave Alliance, a consortium of globally leading consumer brands which currently consists of 160 manufacturers.
